Stubbs House Country Manor Norfolk Broads

A stylish escape, perfect for large gatherings Positive: Lovely property which initially felt like a maze when we first arrived but we soon got used to all the turns and doors. Certainly spacious enough for a party of 20 with very comfortable beds and very clean on arrival. Beautiful surroundings which was a short walking distance from Loddon. Negative: The two internal doors leading to the kitchen from the front door didn't keep open for long which made carrying our luggage, taking the bins out and simply moving round the property quite annoying. The stereo / sound system in the 'party room' was a little outdated so we were thankful someone bought a portable speaker with them.

We had a great time. Positive: Great location. Very quiet. Loved the hot tubs. Plenty of room for everyone. Negative: It was a bit tired in places.

Positive: Spacious and flexible accommodation (choice of two dining areas for example). Plenty of parking space. Some in our party enjoyed the hot tub. If you like gadgets, there were plenty in the kitchen though none were needed apart from the microwave (overkill?) Negative: The property was clean, though the cleaning products used seem to have left some of the surfaces feeling strangely sticky. There were a few maintenance issues: nearly all the door hinges could have done with a few drops of WD40; downstairs bedroom had a faulty door catch; despite plenty of crockery, the dishes for breakfast cereal, desserts or soup were all tiny and impractical; neither of the two dishwashers cleaned well and probably needed dishwasher cleaner run through them; there weren't enough mugs - we kept running out.

Enjoyable family break, convenient location for broads, beach and walks Positive: 2 hot tubs were very good as there were 14 of us Pool/air hockey table very popular with teenagers Negative: Decor a bit "tired", some places need repainting
