The Retreat cabin in the woods

Had a lovely stay with our small dog. Ended up cooking and eating in rather than going out for meals as we were happy to Positive: The location generally, the position and the overall comfort of the Cabin. Negative: Only small problem was only 1 bin bag and t-towel provided. Asked for a couple more but never received them.

Lovely location with only horses as neighbours and lovely views of trees and countryside. If you want a place that gets you away from the rat race, this is the place. Aylsham is only a short drive and is a lovely little market town. The cabin is well fitted out with everything thought of for your stay. The parking at the end of the woods and the cart to take your luggage to the cabin through the woods is part of the experience. The garden is very dog friendly fenced in all round. Think of this waking up in the morning making a cup of tea opening up the curtains and seeing the wonderful views from your windows. Then venturing out to be greeted by a lovely horse pleased to see you at the fence. I have got home after 4 nights stay feeling refreshed and relaxed. There is much to do locally or you can relax and enjoy the lovely walks straight from the cabins door.

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at the cabin in the woods! It was spotless, well-equipped, and made for a very comfortable and relaxing experience. We’re already looking forward to the chance to return! Negative: -

It was such a peaceful getaway! I felt rested while being away and the fact it is away from everything makes it all the Positive: It was so peaceful and brilliant for the dogs. Everything you needed available Negative: Nothing

Charming. Book for longer than one night or you won’t have time to take it all in… Positive: The cabin is charming. Lovely views all round. Negative: I neglected to read all the texts the hosts sent me with instructions on how / where to gain access and find the keys. Whatever you do READ them. Don’t rely on the postcode and messages from Booking.com and don’t expect your hosts to pick up the phone. I called at around 4pm Sat. No one answered.
