Excellent location for canoeing and staying cool in the heat
Positive: It's in an excellent location, we were a party of 3 (plus dog) looking to go canoeing without having to do too much shuttling and reloading or moving of boats and it was perfect for this as we were straight out onto the water. It was a fabulous place to be during the mini heatwave with a lovely coolness from the river. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Excellent dog friendly pub next door for a meal too. We had a slight issue with our shower and the staff were very speedy in getting back to us and sorting out a repair.
Negative: The kitchen was well equipped with a full size fridge, oven,. microwave, etc. but some of the cooking equipment in our houseboat (Yare), especially the pans, could use an upgrade. Very flimsy handle on some of the pans and no appropriate non-metal implements to use with the non stick pans which means they're getting scratched. A wooden spoon, plastic spatula and a decent frying pan would be useful.

Beautiful houseboat
Positive: The houseboat was in a beautiful location, close to all the local attractions to visit.
Negative: Although the house oat was clean there were cobwebs everywhere inside.

Nice but the pictures shown are not of the property.
Positive: Located in a very convenient position for access to the broads, the coast and Norwich. The boat is basic, as expected, but has all of the things needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were super comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Having the pub next door is a bonus!
Negative: We booked Yare boat – with lovely pictures of the interior showing a full balcony and the statement… ‘Guests can relax on the balcony’. So we were looking forward to this. But the pictures are all fake – they are in fact pictures of another boat. The balcony on Yare is a ‘Juliet’ balcony, with no space to sit. Only four of the eight boats have a full balcony.
No walks from the property – you need to drive out before you find a footpath.
Some road noise as it is quite close to the A149, but this died down late at night.
Good to know
